About Me/Contact Me

I'm a girl on mission and I'm hoping I can help you with yours.

I'm Victoria Grace Howell. I am 23-year-old geeky author from Atlanta, Georgia (Think Southern without the accent) and I aspire to be a published novelist of speculative fiction: science-fiction, fantasy, steampunk, the weird stuff.

From the time I attended my first writers conference at sixteen, I've pursued writing diligently. I've been studying the craft on my own by attending writers conferences around the country, online seminars, lots and lots of reading, and hands on experience as an editor, staff writer, and social media manager.

I'm a part of Lord of the Rings, Star Trek, numerous anime, video games, and many more fandoms, so I like to give my posts a fictional flare. I love to analyze shows, movies, and video games to glean writing tips and theme my posts with my fandoms. I'm also creating a massive research resource for writers who wish to interview people with different handicaps and from different countries (More about that on the Tips Archive Tab). Publishing is a long road and I hope to share some of my experiences with you to help you with your writing with a twist of geek!

Five Geeky Facts About Me:

5.) I'm very involved in the writing world. I write and am the head movie editor for the Christian Geek site Geeks Under Grace; I'm a paid staff writer for Geekdom House, and I'm a monthly to bimonthly contributor to the Fangirl Initiative. In April 2016 I was published in Havok Magazine, then in October 2016 I became the social media manager for that imprint.

2.) I'm an artist. I love drawing and sculpting my characters to help me see them clearer.

My character Mor from Red Hood

My character Harlowe from Starbloods
My character Bryce from Subsapien

3.) I'm a cosplayer! I've cosplayed as a Mirkwood Elf, Katara, Ino Yamanaka, Katniss Everdeen, and a Survey Corps member! And I plan to do much more!

4.) I'm an avid tea drinker. I may have a bit of an obsession with tea hence why I review so many. Some of my favorites are chais, earl grey, and anything with rose.

This is one of my favorite teas ever.

5.) I'm a die hard cat lover! This is my cat Lessy. Isn't she the cutest thing ever?!
