I'm Victoria Grace Howell. I am a 26-year-old INFJ from Atlanta, Georgia (Think Southern without the accent) represented by Hartline Literary Agency and I write science-fiction, fantasy, steampunk, the weird stuff. I'm agented for my steampunk fantasy Little Red Riding Hood retelling The Rose in the Wolf. My greatest passions are writing and traveling through worlds whether they be real or fictional.
I have over six years of freelance writing experience.
I've been published in ...
- Area of Effect magazines
- Splickety Havok
- Splickety Magazine
- Thy Geekdom Come: 42 Fandom Inspired Devotionals
- Area of Effect: Wisdom from Geek Culture
I've also contributed to Think Christian and CBR.com and I'm the former the Movies Department Editor for Geeks Under Grace. I also attend writers conferences around both nationally and internationally! Realm Makers is one of my regulars!
Writing, traveling, art, and geek culture are my passions. Though I work multiple day jobs, being a full-time novelist is my dream. When I'm not hard at work on my novels or day jobs, I love traveling all over the country and beyond for writers conferences, book research, and conventions! When I attend conventions I always cosplay as my favorite characters as I try to meet some of my favorite geek celebrities! But when my extroverted self is exhausted you can find me watching anime (particularly Attack on Titan and My Hero Academia), playing video games (such as The Legend of Zelda or Final Fantasy), or watching Lord of the Rings, the Hunger Games, or Marvel films.
My travels, my fandoms, and my experience have taught me so much, so I love sharing what I've learned on my journey to being a novelist--and hopefully--beyond!
Who is the little dude?
This is an Inukshuk. He’s two and a half inches tall with a star marble body and a nephrite jade base. I’ve been fascinated by Inukshuks since my first visit to Canada in 2016. They’re an Inuit symbol for safe travels. In northern Canada, they’re giant statues of stone and they were and still are used as markers for travelers to find their way through the snowy tundra.
After being in a bad car accident two months after my first visit these symbols have been totems for me and helped me through times of PTSD and extreme anxiety while traveling. In 2018, I found Little Inukshuk in a gift shop in Jasper, AB and he has been my travel companion ever since. He’s been with me to Iceland and all over the United States. And he’s a constant reminder that no matter where the road takes me, I will be safe.
