Wonderful Word Wednesday: Unctuous

It's Wonderful Wednesdays again, and I found a very cool word.
I'm always hunting for new ones since I've been doing this. :) It's good for my vocabulary.

1.) characterized by excessive piousness or moralistic fervor, especially in an affected manner; excessively smooth, suave, or smug.
2.) of the nature of or characteristic of an unguent or ointment; oily; greasy.
3.) having an oily or soapy feel, as certain minerals.

Example Sentence: Mor crept through the dark passage taking care not to slip on the unctuous stone.

Have you seen or used this word before? What do you think of it?
